There was no surprise when 11th ranked Toulouse (9-11) was edged at home by ninth ranked La Charite (11-9) 92-89 on Tuesday. La Charite looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Moussa Camara (196-87, college: Binghamton, agency: HMS) who scored 24 points. Senegalese power forward Papa Beye (202-90) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Guyanese Mike Joseph (203-94) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds and American-Haitian point guard Cliff Colimon (182-89, college: E.Washington) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Five La Charite and four Toulouse players scored in double figures. Toulouse's coach Stephane Dao rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Charite moved-up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Toulouse keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. La Charite will face league's second-placed JSA Bordeaux at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Toulouse will play against Lorient (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
