Regular Season Round 21: Stade Rochelais - Challans 72-76

Leader Vendee Challans delivered the sixteenth victory. This time they beat 10th ranked La Rochelle (10-11) 76-72. It was a good game for center Jeremie Douillet (205-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard Paul Turpin (190-93) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Naturalized Guinean forward Abdoulaye Sy (200-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and naturalized Algerian guard Faycal Sahraoui (186-79) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for La Rochelle. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vendee Challans maintains first place in Group B with 16-4 record. Newly promoted La Rochelle keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Vendee Challans will play against Lourdes-Tarbes (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. La Rochelle will play against Brissac Anjou and hopes to get back on the winning track.
