Seventh-ranked Zentro Basket (8-9) made lots of trouble for third ranked Real Madrid II (13-4). Real Madrid II managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85. However their fans expected much easier game. Real Madrid II outrebounded Zentro Basket 46-34 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Usman Garuba (202-2) notched 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian forward Mario Nakic (200-1) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) by Jorge-Jesus Alonso (193-97) did not help to save the game for Zentro Basket. Montenegrin point guard Pavle Titic (191-0) added 17 points. Four Zentro Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Real Madrid II moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Tenerife Naut. Newly promoted Zentro Basket dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Real Madrid II's next round opponent will be Pozuelo (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Zentro Basket will play against CB Guadalajara (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
