There was no surprise when 17th ranked Rosmini D. (1-18) lost to fifth ranked San Miniato (14-5) in Domodossola 77-87 on Wednesday. It was a great shooting night for San Miniato especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was a very good performance for guard Ferdinando Nasello (194-95) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Jacopo Preti (200-94) contributed with 21 points for the winners. San Miniato's coach Federico Barsotti used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized Romanian forward Alin-Giani Zaharie (198-94) answered with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Riccardo Ballabio (181-98) added 15 points in the effort for Rosmini D.Four Rosmini D. players scored in double figures. San Miniato moved-up to third place in B. Newly promoted Rosmini D. keeps the seventeenth position with 18 games lost. San Miniato will face Fiorentina (#4) in Firenze in the next round. Rosmini D. will play on the road against USE Basket (#11) in Empoli and hope to win that game.
