Regular Season Round 36: Chiba Jets - Hitachi SR 106-71

An interesting game for Chiba Jets (31-5) which hosted in Chiba 4th ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (16-20). First ranked Chiba Jets had an easy win 106-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hitachi Sunrockers. Chiba Jets dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Sunrockers' 32. They outrebounded Hitachi Sunrockers 41-28 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Chiba Jets players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) who added 14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) with 17 points and American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 31-5 record. Hitachi Sunrockers at the other side keep the fourth place with 20 games lost. They share the position with San-en. Chiba Jets will play against league's second-placed Tochigi Brex on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hitachi Sunrockers will play against Akita Happinets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
