An interesting game for Diamond Dolphins (20-16) which played road game in Osaka against 4th ranked Osaka Evessa (14-22). Second ranked Diamond Dolphins managed to get a 11-point victory 73-62. The winners were led by American center Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import Markeith Cummings (198-88, college: Kennesaw St.) supported him with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Osaka Evessa. American-Nigerian power forward Trevor Mbakwe (207-89, college: Minnesota, agency: Pensack Sports) added 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Diamond Dolphins maintains second position with 20-16 record having eleven points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Osaka Evessa lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 22 games lost. Diamond Dolphins will meet at home Toyama Grouses (#4) in the next round. Osaka Evessa will play against Aishin Sea Horses and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
