Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Scauri (9-9) lost at home to first ranked Deco (17-2) 89-75 on Thursday. They made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Scauri was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for guard Norman Hassan (197-90) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Biagio Sergio (197-86) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Deco players scored in double figures. Andrea Longobardi (199-94) answered with 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian power forward Guillermo Laguzzi (204-82) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Scauri. Scauri's coach Enrico Fabbri rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Deco maintains first place in B with 17-2 record. Loser Scauri keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Deco will face Roma S.Azzurra (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Scauri will play against Valmontone and hope to win that game.
