An interesting game for Gunma (27-10) which hosted in Gunma 4th ranked Kanazawa Sam. (14-23). First ranked Gunma had an easy win 101-47. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kanazawa Sam.. Gunma dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa Sam.'s 22. Gunma forced 19 Kanazawa Sam. turnovers and had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kanazawa Sam.'s players. It was a good game for American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Gunma players scored in double figures. Jamaican-American power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: Florida St.) replied with 5 points and 10 rebounds and American power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) added 11 points in the effort for Kanazawa Sam.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gunma have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 27-10 record. Loser Kanazawa Sam. keeps the fourth place with 23 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
