Regular Season Round 15: Vestri - Snaefell 105-63

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Snaefell (1-14) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Vestri (9-6) 105-63 on Friday. Vestri dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Snaefell's 26 and made 23-of-24 free shots (95.8 percent) during the game. Vestri had a 34-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Snaefell's players. The best player for the winners was Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 assists. Montenegrin forward Nemanja Knezevic (203-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Five Vestri players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian point guard Dominykas Zupkauskas (183-96) who recorded 8 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Isak Baldursson added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vestri moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hamar. Loser Snaefell keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Vestri will meet at home league's second-placed Fjolnir in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Snaefell will play against Hottur (#3) and hope to win that game.
