Important game to mention about took place in Selfoss. Fifth ranked Hamar (9-6) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked FSU (7-8) 97-94 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of FSU. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But FSU won fourth quarter 34-27. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Co.Carolina) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Croatian forward Julian Rajic (206-85) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Dutch forward Chaed Wellian (204-92, college: Tennessee St.) came up with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Marvin Smith (198, college: USC Upstate) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for FSU in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hamar moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Vestri. FSU at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Hamar will play against bottom-ranked Sindri (#8) in the next round. FSU will play against the league's leader Thor AK in Akureyri and hopes to get back on the winning track.
