Very important is a road loss of third ranked Wisla Krakow (14-6) against eighth ranked Pogon RS (10-10) on Saturday night. Visiting Wisla Krakow was defeated by Pogon RS in Ruda Slaska 109-97. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Wisla Krakow. Pogon RS shot 62.5 percent from the field. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by point guard Pawel Mol (180-87) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists and center Tomasz Stankala (202-91) supported him with 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Pogon RS players scored in double figures. Even 32 points by guard Rafal Zglobicki (196-94) did not help to save the game for Wisla Krakow. Forward Jakub Wojciechowski (197-93) added 23 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the guests. Wisla Krakow's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pogon RS moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Rosa II Radom and Tarnowskie Gory. Wisla Krakow at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Pogon RS will play against Tarnowskie Gory (#7) at home in the next round. Wisla Krakow will play against the league's second-placed Polonia Bytom (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
