Regular Season Round 30: Aisin AW - Kagoshima 89-91

Important game to mention about took place in Aichi. Seventh ranked Kagoshima (11-12) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 4th ranked Aisin AW (13-10) 91-89 on Saturday evening. Strangely Aisin AW outrebounded Kagoshima 47-35 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for American center Antone Warren (208-93, college: Antelope Valley CC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds. The other American import forward Shelton Boykin (198-92, college: Angelo St.) contributed with 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Kagoshima players scored in double figures. Kagoshima's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) replied with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 22 rebounds and 5 blocks and point guard Yuki Ishihara (180-91) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Aisin AW. Kagoshima moved-up to sixth place. Aisin AW lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with ten games lost. Kagoshima will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aisin AW will play again at home against Kagoshima (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
