Very predictable result when tenth ranked Rivas (8-9) rolled over at home 16th ranked Daimiel (4-14) 92-61 on Saturday. They outrebounded Daimiel 40-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Rivas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Daimiel's players. It was a very good performance for guard Miguel Zamora (189-93) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 assists. Swingman Javier De-Pinto (197-92) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Four Rivas players scored in double figures. American forward Julian Lewis (196-92, college: Lewis) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Sergio Hervas (184-92) added 15 points and 4 steals in the effort for Daimiel. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rivas moved-up to seventh place in Group B, which they share with Estudiantes B. Daimiel lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. Rivas will face league's leader Gran Canaria II in Las Palmas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Daimiel will play at home against Casvi (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
