Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Quintanar (10-8) outplayed at home 15th ranked Liceo Frances (4-13) 95-70 on Saturday. Quintanar shot 64.9 percent from the field. Quintanar outrebounded Liceo Frances 32-13 including a 26-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for Senegalese center Serigne Ndiaye (204-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian guard Brandon Tull (193-93, college: Regina) contributed with 25 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Finnish forward Juho Gummerus (201-97) answered with 21 points and point guard Andres Rico (189-97) added 13 points in the effort for Liceo Frances. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Liceo Frances' coach Jorge Lorenzo gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Quintanar maintains fifth place in Group B with 10-8 record. Liceo Frances lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. Quintanar will face higher ranked Alcobendas (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Liceo Frances' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Madrid Estudiantes B.
