Very important is a road loss of Samorin (1-2) against Young Angels (1-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Samorin was crushed by Young Angels in Kosice 75-54. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Samantha Logic (175-92, college: Iowa, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Vanda Kozakova (188-98) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Young Angels' coach Zuzana Zirkova felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international guard Timea Sujova (173-84) came up with 26 points and the former international power forward Romana Vynuchalova (192-86, college: Penn St.) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Samorin in the defeat. Young Angels will meet Piestanske C. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Samorin will play against MBK Ruzomberok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
