Regular Season Round 36: Hiroshima D. - Ehime OV 96-97

A very close game took place in Hiroshima between Orange Vikings and Dragonflies. Fourth ranked Orange Vikings (15-21) got a very close victory on the road over second-best Dragonflies (25-11). Orange Vikings managed to escape with a 1-point win 97-96 on Saturday evening. Orange Vikings looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: SDJ Sports) supported him with 29 points and 13 rebounds. Four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists by forward Terrell Miller Jr. (203-95, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) did not help to save the game for Dragonflies. Power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) added 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Orange Vikings maintains fourth position with 15-21 record, which they share with Yamagata. Newly promoted Dragonflies dropped to the third place with 11 games lost. Orange Vikings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dragonflies will play again against Orange Vikings and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
