Regular Season Round 19: Toyota B SR - Hitachi Cougars 63-67

There was a small surprise in Aichi where eighth ranked Hitachi Cougars (8-11) defeated 6th ranked Toyota B SR (9-10) 67-63 on Saturday. Hitachi Cougars looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for guard Runo Nishizawa (167-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 7 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Yuki Kitamura (172-94) helped adding 12 points and 7 assists. At the losing side center Eri Hatanaka (178-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Taohua Mizuno (165-95) scored 15 points and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hitachi Cougars maintains eighth place with 8-11 record. Loser Toyota B SR keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Chanson V-M. Hitachi Cougars will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toyota B SR will play again against Hitachi Cougars (#8) in Hitachinaka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
