Not a big story in a game when 3rd ranked Cyberdyne IR (22-14) lost to first ranked Shinshu BW (29-7) in Tsukuba 67-78 on Saturday. Shinshu BW dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Cyberdyne IR's 20. They outrebounded Cyberdyne IR 44-33 including 37 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Kaito Ishikawa (188-90) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import power forward Carl Baptiste (208-90, college: Delaware) added 21 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Cyberdyne IR. Cyberdyne IR's coach Kazuto Uehara tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Shinshu BW maintains first position with 29-7 record. Cyberdyne IR lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the third place with 14 games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round.
