An exciting game was played in San Pedro. Hurricanes faced Tigersharks. Guests from Belize City (2-0) defeated host Tigersharks (2-1) 87-71. International guard Devin Daly (195-94, college: L.Superior) scored 25 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Akeem Watters (186-95) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Center Martevuius Adams responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the former international center Kurt Burgess (196-82) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hurricanes will meet at home Verdes (#5) in the next round. Tigersharks will play against Red Bandits in Belmopan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
