No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Zaragoza (10-9) defeated at home 13th ranked Leche Rio Breogan (6-12) 83-69 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-69. It was a great shooting night for Zaragoza especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Leche Rio Breogan was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Nigerian-American swingman Stan Okoye (198-91, college: VMI) fired 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Carlos Alocen (189-0) chipped in 9 points and 4 assists. Bosnian-Finnish power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (204-95) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Lucio Redivo (183-94) added 14 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zaragoza moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Andorra. Leche Rio Breogan lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. Zaragoza will face higher ranked Joventut (#8) in Badalona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leche Rio Breogan will play at home against UCAM Murcia (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
