We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Novaschool (5-11) was outscored by ninth ranked Unicaja-Andalucia (5-11) in Malaga 93-73 on Saturday. Unicaja-Andalucia made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Unicaja-Andalucia outrebounded Novaschool 40-26 including a 28-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for Dutch forward Morgan Stilma (202-0) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Pablo Sanchez (192-2) contributed with 15 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Unicaja-Andalucia players scored in double figures. Center Anastasio Vazquez (204-92) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American forward Alex Jackson (200-84, college: Mo.-St.Louis) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Novaschool. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Unicaja-Andalucia. They moved-up to eighth place in Group D-A, which they share with defeated Novaschool. Unicaja-Andalucia will face higher ranked Andujar (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
