Regular Season Round 37: Niigata Albirex - Ryukyu GK 79-69

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Ryukyu GK (24-13) on the court of first ranked Niigata Albirex on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Niigata Albirex 79-69. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Lamont Hamilton (208-84, college: St.John's) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) chipped in 23 points and 11 rebounds. Four Niigata Albirex players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: W.Virginia) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and forward Amanze Egekeze (203-95, college: Belmont) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Niigata Albirex maintains first place with 26-11 record which they share with defeated Ryukyu GK. Ryukyu GK lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with 13 games lost. Niigata Albirex are again looking forward to face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ryukyu GK will have a break next round.
