There was a minor upset in Sosnowiec where 10th ranked Unia Tarnow (7-12) was edged by twelfth ranked Zaglebie (7-13) 79-78 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Zaglebie made 9 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Jakub Czyz (205-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 8 blocks and point guard Pawel Jurczynski (183-91) who added 25 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) during the contest. Guard Jacek Sulowski (192-79) responded with 38 points (!!!) and power forward Tomasz Palmowski (199-97) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Unia Tarnow's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Zaglebie moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Bielsko-Biala. Newly promoted Unia Tarnow keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. Zaglebie will face higher ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (#5) in Jaworzno in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
