Tenth-ranked Cagliari CUS (7-11) made lots of trouble for third ranked Spezzina (15-4) on Saturday. The visitors from La Spezia managed to secure only two-point victory 54-52. However their fans expected much easier game. Croatian guard Lana Packovski (170-94) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Silvia Sarni (190-87) chipped in 12 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Silvia Favento (185-85) with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Erika Striulli (170-90) scored 16 points. Spezzina moved-up to second place in A2. Loser Cagliari CUS keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Spezzina will meet at home Pistoia (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cagliari CUS will play against Palermo and hope to secure a win.
