Regular Season Round 19: CAM E.Soler - Almeria 74-70

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked CAM E.Soler as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group D-A. CAM E.Soler defeated 7th ranked Almeria in Melilla 74-70. They outrebounded Almeria 50-32 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Jeremiah Davis-III (190-93, college: Florida Southern) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Serbian center Dusan Kostic (207-94) helped adding 14 points and 19 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). At the losing side forward Joaquin Reyes (196-96) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and forward Cristian Ramon (197-92) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Almeria players scored in double figures. Almeria's coach Jose Gonzalez tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. CAM E.Soler (13-3) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Marbella. Almeria lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with ten games lost. Almeria will play next round against Multiopticas Baza trying to get back on the winning streak. CAM E.Soler will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Novaschool at Malaga.
