Regular Season Round 20: Faenza - San Vendemiano 62-74

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked San Vendemiano (12-8) beat on the road higher ranked Faenza (13-7) 74-62 on Sunday. Point guard Marco Perin (185-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 assists. Point guard Giacomo Bloise (180-90) contributed with 12 points and 8 assists for the winners. Four San Vendemiano players scored in double figures. Swingman Gioacchino Chiappelli (198-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Carlo Fumagalli (188-96) added 17 points in the effort for Faenza. San Vendemiano have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with Juvi Cremona. Loser Faenza keeps the third position with seven games lost. San Vendemiano will face Tessilform Bernareggio (#10) on the road in the next round. Faenza will play against Olginate (#12) and hope to win that game.
