Regular Season Round 16: Gorzow Wlkp. - Arka Gdynia 88-79

The most important game in the last round took place in Gorzow Wlkp. between second ranked Arka Gdynia (12-3) and seventh ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (9-5) on Sunday night. Arka Gdynia was defeated by AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski in a tough game on the road 79-88. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Arka Gdynia. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Sharnee Zoll-Norman (170-86, college: Virginia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 assists and Lithuanian forward Laura Juskaite (187-97) who added 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. Five AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Emma Cannon (190-89, college: Cent.Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Anna Makurat (183-0) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Wisla Krakow. Arka Gdynia at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski is looking forward to face MKK Siedlce (#9) on the road in the next round. Arka Gdynia will play against Wisla Krakow (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
