Regular Season Round 17: Ramat Hen - Raanana 71-66
Date: February 4, 2019
No shocking result in a game when second ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan (12-5) beat 7th ranked Raanana (7-10) in Ramat Hen 71-66. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Maccabi Ramat Gan made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Kenyan-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-92, college: Florida St.) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman Alex Harden (180-93, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Maccabi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. American forward Teana Muldrow (188-95, college: W.Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import guard Bria Goss (178-92, college: Kentucky) added 15 points and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the guests. Raanana's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Maccabi Ramat Gan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 12-5 record behind leader Ramla, which they share with Ashdod. Raanana at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Maccabi Ramat Gan's next round opponent will be Petah Tikva (#5) on the road. Raanana will play against Bnot Hertzeliya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
