The most crucial game of the last day was a loss of top-ranked Hornets (26-27) in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by second ranked Clippers (30-25) 117-115. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hornets. Clippers shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 75.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for forward Tobias Harris (206-92, college: Tennessee) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Lou Williams (185-86) contributed with 31 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Clippers players scored in double figures. Point guard Kemba Walker (185-90, college: Connecticut) answered with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and Jeremy Lamb (196-92, college: Connecticut) added 22 points in the effort for Hornets. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Clippers maintains second place with 30-25 record having just six point less than leader Toronto R. Hornets at the other side still keep top position with 27 games lost. Clippers will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hornets will play on the road against Mavericks in Dallas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
