Regular Season Round 27: BC Lulea - Koping Stars 86-71

Very predictable result when fourth ranked BC Lulea (20-7) defeated at home 9th ranked Koping Stars (7-20) 86-71. The game was mostly controlled by BC Lulea. Koping Stars was better in fourth quarter 24-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Lulea dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Koping Stars' 36. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Corban Collins (190-94, college: Alabama) who led the winners and scored 15 points. His fellow American import guard Earvin Morris (196-94, college: UTEP) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Niklas Larsson (199-94) came up with 22 points and 4 assists and American forward James Demery (198-95, college: St.Joseph's) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Koping Stars in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BC Lulea have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Koping Stars lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the ninth position with 20 games lost. BC Lulea will play against Nassjo (#6) on the road in the next round. Koping Stars will play against the league's second-placed Norrkoping Dolphins and hope to get back on the winning track.
