The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Handlova's (9-15) road loss to sixth ranked Rieker KN (11-13) in Komarno 72-89. It was a great evening for American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international point guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83) helped adding 23 points and 4 assists. Brooks is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Rieker KN players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international center Michal Cekovsky (211-94, college: Maryland, agency: Octagon Europe) with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Czech forward Filip Halada (198-92, agency: 011 Sports) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rieker KN maintains sixth place with 11-13 record. Handlova at the other side keeps the seventh position with 15 games lost. Rieker KN will play against bottom-ranked Lucenec (#9) at home in the next round. Handlova will play against the league's second-placed Levice and hopes to get back on the winning track.
