No shocking result in a game when third ranked Iskra Svit (15-9) crushed at home bottom-ranked Lucenec (2-22) 107-83. They outrebounded Lucenec 40-29 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Iskra Svit players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward DeAndre Davis (203-94, college: Alcorn St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Andrew Guillory (190-92, college: SE Louisiana) helped adding 19 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Iskra Svit's coach Michal Madzin felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was forward Duke Shelton (208-95, college: Tampa) with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Ike Agusi (180-95, college: Queens, NC) scored 18 points and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Iskra Svit maintains third place with 15-9 record having five points less than leader Inter Bratislava. Lucenec lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 22 lost games. Iskra Svit will play against Nova Ves (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Lucenec will play against Rieker KN in Komarno and hopes to get back on the winning track.
