Very expected game when 13th ranked ALM Evreux (7-11) was defeated at home by seventh ranked SPO Rouen (11-7) 88-76 on Friday. SPO Rouen looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American point guard Jamar Diggs (190-88, college: Wofford, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Liberian guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Steeve Ho-You-Fat (203-88) with 24 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American swingman Manny Atkins (201-91, college: Georgia St.) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SPO Rouen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Gries/Oberhoffen and Saint-Chamond. Loser ALM Evreux dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Denain and Poitiers. SPO Rouen will meet at home Gries/Oberhoffen (#7) in the next round. ALM Evreux will play against Lille Metropole (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
