We should mention about the upset which took place in Paris, where higher ranked Paris (7-10) lost at home to seventeenth ranked Caen (5-13) 64-78 on Friday. Caen dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Paris' 30. American point guard Johnathan Hudson (180-87, college: Texas A&M) scored 13 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Jordan Tolbert (201-92, college: SMU) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Caen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized Mali center Moustapha Diarra (205-87, college: USF) with 13 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Sylvain Francisco (180-97) scored 12 points. Paris' coach Jean-Christophe Prat tested eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Caen maintains seventeenth position with 5-13 record. Newly promoted Paris keeps the eleventh place with ten games lost. Caen will meet league's second-placed Sluc Nancy on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Paris will play against Quimper UJAP (#15) and hope to secure a win.
