Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Minsk: Tsmoki-Minsk (#3) and Tsmoki II (#2). Tsmoki-Minsk (17-2) crushed visiting Tsmoki II (10-9) by 21 points 92-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tsmoki II. Tsmoki-Minsk players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. International forward Evgeniy Belyankov (197-95) stepped up and scored 25 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and forward Maxim Lutych (200-97) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. Tsmoki-Minsk's coach Aleksander Krutikov felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side center Vitali Lebedev (198-99) responded with 18 points and forward Stanislav Ulyanko (196-99) scored 16 points. Tsmoki-Minsk will play against Grodno-93 (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tsmoki II will play against COR-Borisfen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
