Regular Season Round 20: Alcobendas - Quintanar 93-83

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Alcobendas (14-4) won against at home 5th ranked Quintanar (10-9) 93-83 on Saturday. Alcobendas made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (197-89) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Roberto Morentin (204-81, college: Cent.Florida) who added 19 points and 7 assists during the contest. Alcobendas' coach Jose Antonio Ramirez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Senegalese center Serigne Ndiaye (204-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Khion Sankey (196-92, college: Lipscomb) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Alcobendas and five Quintanar players scored in double figures. Alcobendas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group B with 14-4 record behind leader Algeciras. Loser Quintanar dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. Alcobendas will face CB Guadalajara (#5) at home in the next round. Quintanar will play against Lanzarote and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
