Regular Season Round 28: Levice - Handlova 90-87

Seventh-ranked Handlova (9-16) gave a tough game to second ranked Levice (18-7) on Saturday. Levice managed to secure only three-point victory 90-87. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Dwayne Benjamin (201-93, college: Oregon) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Steven Davis (203-93, college: Wright St.) who added 26 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard KC Ross-Miller (183-91, college: Auburn) responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian Djordje Tresac (193-87, agency: 011 Sports) scored 23 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Levice have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 18-7 record having just one point less than leader Inter Bratislava. Handlova at the other side keeps the seventh place with 16 games lost. Levice are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Lucenec (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Handlova will play against the league's leader Inter Bratislava and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
