The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Piestanske C. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Piestanske C. defeated 3rd ranked Young Angels in Piestany 60-45. Piestanske C. held Young Angels to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Rebeka Mikulasikova (191-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian center Jessica Lubin (185-90, college: UQAM) who added 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Samantha Logic (175-92, college: Iowa, agency: LBM Management) responded with 8 points and 7 rebounds and Vanda Kozakova (188-98) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Young Angels dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Slovan. Young Angels will play next round against strong MBK Ruzomberok trying to get back on the winning streak. Piestanske C. will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Samorin at home.
