No shocking result in a game when second ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (22-7) defeated on the road 9th ranked Koping Stars (7-21) 79-71. It looked good early as Koping Stars took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Norrkoping Dolphins had a 24-13 second period charge getting the lead and Koping Stars were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-79. The winners were led by the former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) who scored that evening 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Mikael Lindquist (193-83) supported him with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 18 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists (made all of his eight free throws) by Serbian point guard Aleksa Solevic (188-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) did not help to save the game for Koping Stars. American forward James Demery (198-95, college: St.Joseph's) added 12 points for lost side. Five Koping Stars players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains second position with 22-7 record behind leader Sodertalje. Koping Stars lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the ninth place with 21 games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Uppsala Basket (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Koping Stars will play against Wetterbygden in Huskvarna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
