There was no surprise when 14th ranked Salt (2-14) was outplayed on the road by fourth ranked Igualada (11-5) 89-55 on Saturday. Igualada outrebounded Salt 36-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Carles Fons (189-91) who helped to win the game recording 24 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and power forward Roger Perez (203-96) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Marc Capell responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and forward Albert Pujolras (194-88) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Igualada moved-up to third place in Group C-A, which they share with Esparreguera and Mataro Feimat. Loser Salt keeps the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Igualada will face Boet (#7) in Mataro in the next round. Salt will play at home against Valls Nutrion (#10) and hope to win that game.
