The game in Minsk supposed to be also quite interesting. Rubon (11-8) played at the court of RCOP Tsmoki (2-16). Rubon smashed RCOP Tsmoki 91-51 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rubon. RCOP Tsmoki managed to win third quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding RCOP Tsmoki to just 6 points in second quarter. Rubon dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to RCOP Tsmoki's 34. Rubon forced 20 RCOP Tsmoki turnovers and outrebounded them 62-27 including a 25-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Ruslan Pishcheyko (190-98) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and center Pavel Bliznec (210-94) accounted for 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Rubon players scored in double figures. Coach Ruslan Baidakov's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players saving starting five for next games. Forward Arseni Tugarinov (195-2) came up with 10 points and 6 rebounds and Andrey Boyko added 9 points respectively for RCOP Tsmoki in the defeat. Rubon will meet at home Prinemanye (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. RCOP Tsmoki will play against GOCOR-Sozh in Gomel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
