No shocking result in a game when third ranked Antwerp Giants (10-4) smashed at home 6th ranked Okapi Aalstar (7-9) 104-74. Antwerp Giants players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Victor Sanders (196-95, college: Idaho) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import point guard Paris Lee (183-95, college: Illinois St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 assists for the winners. Dutch center Thomas van-der-Mars (208-90, college: Portland, agency: Duran International) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Zach Thomas (201-96, college: Bucknell) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Okapi Aalstar. Four Antwerp Giants and five Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Antwerp Giants have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-4 record having 2 victories less than leader Oostende. Okapi Aalstar at the other side keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. Antwerp Giants will play against Limburg United (#7) on the road in the next round. Okapi Aalstar will play against Kangoeroes in Mechelen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
