No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Rioja (11-6) crushed on the road 13th ranked Coruna (3-14) 89-59 on Saturday. Rioja made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game, while Coruna only scored seven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Coruna 49-23 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Coruna was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Russian power forward Mariya Davydova (190-93, college: FIU, agency: ProDep Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds.
