Regular Season Round 23: Le Havre - La Charite 80-76

No shocking result in a game when second ranked STB Le Havre (14-7) won against at home 6th ranked La Charite (12-10) 80-76 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. STB Le Havre forced 20 La Charite turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for Spanish point guard Mikel Uriz (182-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 9 assists. American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Senegalese power forward Papa Beye (202-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five STB Le Havre and four La Charite players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for STB Le Havre. They maintain second place in Group B with 14-7 record having four points less than leader Challans. Loser La Charite dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. STB Le Havre will face Lourdes-Tarbes (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. La Charite will play against CFBB (#14) and hope to win that game.
