Very expected game in Saporro where 6th ranked Hokkaido L. (10-30) was crushed by first ranked Niigata Albirex (29-11) 84-60 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and the other American import power forward Lamont Hamilton (208-84, college: St.John's) who added 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and guard Asahi Tajima (173-88) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Niigata Albirex have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 29-11 record. Loser Hokkaido L. dropped to the fifth place with 30 games lost. Niigata Albirex will face league's second-placed Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
