There was a minor upset when 14th ranked Casvi (5-12) was rolled over on the road by sixteenth ranked Daimiel (5-14) 95-68 on Sunday. Daimiel dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Casvi's 34. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Julian Lewis (196-92, college: Lewis) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and Cuban forward Georvys Elias (199-81) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American forward Matthew Dahlen (201-95, college: St.Martin's) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Modesto Vazquez (200-95) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Daimiel moved-up to fifteenth place in Group B. Loser Casvi keeps the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Daimiel will face higher ranked Tenerife Naut. (#4) in Santa Cruz de Ten. in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
