Regular Season Round 33: Saitama Bron. - Aisin AW 77-97

The game in Saitama supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Aisin AW (16-10) played at the court of 5th ranked Saitama Broncos (13-13). Aisin AW did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 97-77 on Sunday. Aisin AW outrebounded Saitama Broncos 41-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field). Point guard Yuki Ishihara (180-91) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Aisin AW players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and 20 rebounds and point guard Yusuke Ikeda (180-88) added 15 points and 8 assists respectively. Aisin AW have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 16-10 record. Loser Saitama Broncos keep the fifth position with 13 games lost. Aisin AW will face bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Saitama Broncos will play against Tokyo Cinq R. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
