An interesting game for Kumamoto V. (28-11) which hosted in Kumamoto 4th placed Fukushima (18-21). Second ranked Kumamoto V. managed to get a 12-point victory 97-85. Kumamoto V. made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and American center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Fukushima in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kumamoto V. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Gunma. Loser Fukushima keeps the fourth place with 21 games lost. Kumamoto V. will meet at home Kanazawa Sam. (#4) in the next round. Fukushima will play against Tokyo Z and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
