Second Stage Round 3: Gorizont II - RGUOR 69-55

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Gorizont II (#5) and RGUOR (#8). Gorizont II (8-8) won against visiting RGUOR (0-17) 69-55. The game was mostly controlled by Gorizont II. RGUOR managed to win fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gorizont II forced 19 RGUOR turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Darya Semiletnikova (185-1) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Aleksandra Shumeiko (173-1) helped adding 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Polina Varabei (-4) with 19 points and Yana Zakharevich (-4) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gorizont II's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena RGUOR.
