No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Sidigas AV (12-7) beat 12th ranked Germani BR (8-11) in Avellino 79-67 on Sunday. Sidigas AV looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for Caleb Green (203-85, college: ORU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Keifer Sykes (183-93, college: Green Bay) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Sidigas AV's coach Nenad Vucinic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and guard Jared Cunningham (194-91, college: Oregon St., agency: BeoBasket) added 18 points respectively for Germani BR in the defeat. Sidigas AV moved-up to third place, which they share with Happy Casa BR and Vanoli CR. Loser Germani BR keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Sidigas AV will meet Dolomiti En. TR (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Germani BR will play against VL Pesaro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
